Here a short video of sawing Santos Rosewood of at least 50 to 60 years old!

For this I use my Elektra Beckum band saw with a special conductor that clamps the wood and is slowly guided through the saw with the help of a small electric motor. I use CNC linear bearings and a ball spindle. In this way I am assured of a very nice cut that is always straight and flat. This way I use all the wood and the waste is minimal. After all, the wood is already expensive enough!

It is not fast and takes about 5 minutes before I have cut a slice. So there is time to sweep again :-)
